TONY IOMMI: Outtake From 'Fused' Sessions To Be Made Available Via iTunes

June 29, 2005

According to a posting on BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi's official web site, there are three tracks that were recorded during the sessions for his new solo album, "Fused", that do not appear on the final CD. As reported last week, "Let It Down Easy" will be the bonus track on the Japanese edition of the album, which is scheduled for release on July 21 on the Victor Entertainment label. In addition, the song "The Innocence" will be available as a download from iTunes from the day of release (July 11 in Europe, July 12 in the U.S.). More information regarding the fate of the third unreleased track will be made available soon.

Joining the Iommi guitarist on "Fused" is former DEEP PURPLE vocalist/bass guitarist Glenn Hughes and former JOHN MELLENCAMP drummer Kenny Aronoff, who has also played sessions with the likes of THE ROLLING STONES, BOB DYLAN, ROD STEWART, ALICE COOPER, BOB SEGER, LYNYRD SKYNYRD and countless others. The CD cover was designed by U.K.-based designer Hugh Gilmour, who has previously worked on covers for BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE, IRON MAIDEN, MOTÖRHEAD, DAVID BOWIE and THE BEATLES, among others. A tour to promote "Fused" will take place later this year after BLACK SABBATH finishes headlining the 10th anniversary Ozzfest tour.
